  • Cite your references (even if you’re reading Sparknotes, cite it!)
  • Zeros will be given for plagiarized discussion boards
• Reading Quiz (you have 1 week to make this up if you have a legitimate absence)
• Discuss Hawthorne’s “The Hollow of the Three Hills”

HW:

• Discussion Board #5 this week
• Read Wharton Bio; Wharton bio 2  (first 4 pages at least); Read “The Moving Finger” (Stories of Ourselves)
• Guiding questions for “TMFinger”

• Work on rough draft of WA#3–revise, revise, revise.  2nd iteration of rough draft is due Friday, 9.14 for peer editing

• take home TEST questions  to be handed out on  Wednesday, 9.19 (due to turnitin.com on Sunday 23 @ 11:59pm
• Clicker TEST on Passage–Friday, 9.21
• No Discussion Board this week!

  • peer edit for:
    • parallelism
    • compound sentence
    • 3+ quotations
    • 1 extended quote
    • correct MLA citations, formatting
    • present verb tense
• Notes–Pt I of Passage to India
